Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you ("you", "user") and zhenjieco ("we", "us", "our", "the Studio"). They apply to the website at https://zhenjieco.com and all mobile applications published by zhenjieco.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website or downloading, installing, or using any zhenjieco App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our services. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and zhenjieco regarding the services, superseding any prior understandings.

2. Eligibility & Age Requirements

• You must be at least 13 years old to use our general services (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction — for example, 16 in parts of the EEA under GDPR Article 8).
• Where an App is rated for a higher age, you must meet that rating's requirement (e.g., 17+ Apps are restricted accordingly).
• Apps directed to children comply with COPPA, the Apple Kids category, and the Google Play Families Policy; parents or guardians provide any required consent.
• If you are under the required age, you may use the service only with verifiable parental or guardian consent.

3. Accounts & User Obligations

Some features may require an account or your device credentials. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information and keep it current;
• Maintain the confidentiality of any credentials;
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use at contact@zhenjieco.com;
• Use the services lawfully and not for any fraudulent, harmful, or infringing purpose.

4. License & Acceptable Use

Subject to these Terms, zhenjieco grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use our website and Apps for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any App except as permitted by law;
• Attempt to circumvent technical protection measures or advertising controls;
• Use the services to distribute malware, spam, or unlawful content;
• Resell, lease, or commercially exploit the services without written permission;
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the services.

5. Intellectual Property

All software, designs, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, and other content provided by zhenjieco are owned by zhenjieco or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. "zhenjieco", the zhenjieco logo, and related marks are trademarks of the Studio. Nothing in these Terms transfers any IP rights to you except the limited usage license above. User-generated content you create with our Apps remains yours; by using the Apps you grant us a limited license to operate, display, and back up that content solely to deliver the service.

6. App Store / Google Play Terms

The following apply where relevant:

• Apple App Store: If you downloaded an App from the Apple App Store, the Apple Standard EULA (or Apple Media Services Terms) applies to that App to the extent not covered by these Terms. You acknowledge Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
• Google Play: Use of Google Play-distributed Apps is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. You acknowledge Google is not responsible for the App.
• Platform payments: In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google; their refund and billing terms govern those transactions.

7. Advertising & In-App Purchases

7.1 Advertising

Free Apps may display advertising through third-party networks (including AdMob and the partners listed in our Privacy Policy). Ad formats may include splash / open ads, rewarded video, interstitials, and banners. You can limit personalized ads in your device settings. Rewarded benefits are granted only upon verified completion of the ad.

7.2 In-App Purchases

Some Apps offer optional purchases (e.g., ad removal, premium features). Purchases are final unless required by applicable law or platform refund policy. Prices are shown in the App and processed by the relevant store.

8. User Content & Data

Our Apps are local-first: your content generally stays on your device. You are responsible for your content and for complying with laws when creating it. By using optional sync or sharing features, you authorize us to process that content as needed to provide the feature. We do not claim ownership of your content.

9. Third-Party Services

Our services may integrate or link to third-party services (app stores, analytics, advertising, email providers). Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not liable for third-party conduct.

10. Disclaimers & Warranties

The services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. You use them at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, zhenjieco shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the services. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless zhenjieco and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the services or violation of these Terms.

13. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the services at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or for operational reasons. You may stop using the services at any time by deleting the App. Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnification) remain in effect.

14. Regional Terms

• United States: These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Residents of California retain rights under the CCPA/CPRA as described in the Privacy Policy.
• European Economic Area / United Kingdom: Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights. Where mandatory local law applies, it prevails over conflicting terms.
• Canada (PIPEDA / Quebec Law 25), Brazil (LGPD), Australia (Privacy Act): Data-related provisions are interpreted consistently with those laws where applicable.
• Other jurisdictions: If any provision is unenforceable under local law, that provision is severed and the remainder stays in force.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notified in-App or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
