1. Introduction & Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- The zhenjieco website at https://zhenjieco.com and all sub-pages;
- All mobile applications ("Apps") published by zhenjieco on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, including our productivity, health, collection, real-estate, finance and creative-tool matrix;
- Any associated services, newsletters, support channels and communications.
Our guiding principle is privacy by design and data minimization. The overwhelming majority of user-generated data in our Apps is processed and stored locally on your device. Where a network connection is used (for example, to serve advertising, deliver app updates, or process optional cloud features), we describe it transparently below.
By downloading, installing, or using any zhenjieco App or visiting our website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.
2. Information We Collect
We separate data into three categories:
2.1 Data stored locally on your device (not transmitted)
For most Apps, the following data never leaves your device: audio you synthesize, collection valuations, posture / training logs, property documents, notes, budgets, and any other user content. This data is stored in your device's local sandbox, and — where supported — in your personal iCloud or Google account container that only you control.
2.2 Data you voluntarily provide
- Support & contact requests: your name, email address, and message content when you email contact@zhenjieco.com or support@zhenjieco.com.
- Newsletter subscriptions: your email address, if you opt in on our News page.
- Surveys & beta programs: optional feedback you choose to submit.
2.3 Data processed by third parties (advertising & analytics)
Our free Apps integrate advertising SDKs. These SDKs may collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, approximate location (coarse, derived from IP), device model, OS version, language, and interaction events with ads. This is governed by Section 10 (Advertising) and Section 8 (Cookies & Tracking). We do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense; advertising partners process data as described in their own policies.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, and maintain our Apps and website;
- Deliver and measure advertising within free Apps (see Section 10);
- Respond to support, partnership, and press enquiries;
- Send service-related and (with consent) marketing communications;
- Diagnose crashes and improve stability via privacy-safe diagnostics;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Local-First Data Architecture
We practice a "data does not leave the device" engineering philosophy for user content. Benefits include:
- User autonomy: you control where your files live and whether they are backed up;
- Reduced exposure: there is no central honeypot of user content to breach;
- No unnecessary cloud storage or tracking: we avoid server-side profiles keyed to individuals.
Where an App offers an optional sync feature, it is clearly labeled and uses platform-native encrypted containers (Apple iCloud / Android Auto Backup) bound to your personal account.
5. Legal Bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases under Article 6 GDPR:
- Performance of a contract — to deliver the App features you request;
- Legitimate interests — to secure our services, analyze aggregated usage, and serve contextual advertising (balanced against your rights);
- Consent — for non-essential cookies, personalized advertising, newsletters, and optional analytics. You may withdraw consent at any time;
- Legal obligation — to retain limited records where required by law.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights. We will respond within the timeframes required by law (generally 30 days).
- Access — obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Erasure / "right to be forgotten" — request deletion of your data;
- Restriction & objection — limit or object to certain processing;
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
- Opt-out of sale / sharing — including personalized advertising (see Section 10);
- Non-discrimination — we will not penalize you for exercising your rights.
To exercise any right, email contact@zhenjieco.com. We may need to verify your identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (e.g., your national Data Protection Authority, or the UK ICO).
7. International Data Transfers
zhenjieco is based in the United States. Our advertising and analytics partners operate globally. Where personal data of EEA, UK, or Swiss users is transferred outside these regions, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (where the recipient is certified), or contractual confidentiality and security commitments. Advertising partners' own transfer mechanisms are described in their privacy policies.
8. Cookies, SDKs & Tracking
Our website uses a minimal set of technologies:
- Essential cookies / local storage: required for the site to function (e.g., theme, consent state). These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics: privacy-respecting, aggregated usage measurement. Where cookies are used, they are set only with your consent where legally required.
- Advertising identifiers & SDKs (in Apps): advertising SDKs may set identifiers such as Apple's IDFA (with App Tracking Transparency permission on iOS) and Google's Advertising ID (with the Android Advertising ID & "Opt out of ads personalization" respected). You can reset or limit these in your device settings at any time.
You can manage website cookies through your browser settings. In our Apps, you can limit ad tracking via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
9. Children's Privacy & Age Ratings
We take children's privacy seriously and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States, the GDPR Article 8 age thresholds, and the Apple App Store "Kids" category and Google Play Families Policy where applicable.
- Age rating: Each App carries an age rating assigned in accordance with Apple (4+, 9+, 12+, 17+) and Google Play (Everyone, Everyone 10+, Teen, Mature) guidelines. Apps not designed for children are rated accordingly.
- No knowingly-collected children's data: We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction) without verifiable parental consent.
- AdMob & child-directed Apps: Where an App is directed to children or falls under the Google Play Families Policy / Apple Kids category, we configure advertising SDKs for child-directed treatment (TAG For Families), which restricts personalized ads and limits data collection to the minimum required for serving non-personalized, COPPA-compliant ads.
- Parental controls: Parents may review, delete, or refuse further collection of a child's information by contacting contact@zhenjieco.com.
10. Advertising & Ad Platforms
Many of our Apps are free to download and supported by advertising. We integrate industry-standard mobile advertising SDKs. The ad formats we may display include:
- Splash / Open ads (开屏广告): shown when the App launches or returns to the foreground. We keep them brief and dismissible.
- Rewarded video ads (激励视频广告): optional ads a user chooses to watch in exchange for an in-app benefit (e.g., unlocking a feature or removing a temporary limit). No reward is granted without completion.
- Interstitial ads (插屏广告): full-screen ads shown at natural transition points, with a clear close control and frequency caps.
- Banner ads (Banner广告): persistent small ad units within the App UI, clearly separated from content.
These formats are delivered by one or more of the following advertising and monetization partners. Each partner processes data under its own privacy policy; we encourage you to review them:

10.1 Personalized vs. non-personalized ads
You can opt out of personalized advertising. On iOS, deny tracking when prompted via App Tracking Transparency; on Android, enable Opt out of Ads Personalization. Where an App or region requires it, we serve only non-personalized ads. Advertising partners may still use limited, non-identifying data to prevent fraud and cap frequency.
10.2 Ad controls
We implement frequency capping, clear close buttons, and (where required) child-directed treatment. We do not place ads in a way that deceives users, and we prohibit ads that violate Apple, Google, or applicable advertising standards.
11. App Store & Google Play Compliance
Our Apps comply with platform policies, including but not limited to:
- Apple App Store Review Guidelines — privacy nutrition labels, App Tracking Transparency, Kids category rules, and accurate metadata;
- Apple Privacy Policy requirement — a privacy policy URL is provided for every App;
- Google Play Developer Policy / User Data policy — data safety declarations, restricted permissions, and the Families Policy;
- Google Play Payments policy — in-app purchases processed through the platform where required.
We complete the required App Store Privacy Nutrition Labels and Google Play Data Safety forms, declaring exactly what data each App collects and how it is used and shared (including advertising use).
12. Regional Privacy Laws
In addition to the GDPR / UK GDPR and COPPA described above, we acknowledge and design for the following regional frameworks:
- United States — California (CCPA / CPRA): California residents may know what personal information is collected, request deletion, opt out of "sale" or "sharing" (including cross-context behavioral advertising), and limit use of sensitive personal information. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals.
- United States — Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA): Residents have access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-out rights consistent with these state laws.
- Canada (PIPEDA / Quebec Law 25): We handle personal information consistently with PIPEDA's fair-information principles; Quebec residents have additional consent and portability rights.
- Brazil (LGPD): We process data on the legal bases in the LGPD and honor access, correction, deletion, and revocation-of-consent rights.
- Australia (Privacy Act 1988 / APPs): We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.
- Japan (APPI), South Korea (PIPA), and other APAC frameworks: Where our Apps are distributed in these regions, we apply comparable transparency and consent standards.
If you are located in a jurisdiction not explicitly listed, we will nonetheless apply the same data-minimization and transparency principles and comply with applicable local law.
13. Third Parties & Links
Our website and Apps may link to third-party services (for example, the App Store, Google Play, email providers, or analytics tools). This Policy does not apply to those third parties. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies.
14. Data Security
We protect data using industry-standard measures: encryption in transit (TLS), device-level encryption for local data, least-privilege access, and regular dependency review. Because most user content stays on your device, your exposure is inherently limited. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notified in-App or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
